Christmas Eve through to Australia Day

The Moyneyana Festival is known for its enduring tribute to community spirit. The festival runs over five weeks from Christmas Eve through to Australia Day each year. 

The Festival has developed over the years to become a favourite summer celebration in the south-west of Victoria. Initiated in 1947, the festival helps to raise funds for the local hospital, and attracts crowds of 15,000 visitors each year. Almost all featured events are free and held in the main street, the village green or other public spaces. The only pre-requisite for the festival is to bring a picnic blanket or folding chairs.

Port Fairy Jazz Festival

9th - 11th February 2018

The Port Fairy Jazz Festival is a not for profit festival and organisation run entirely by volunteers, promoting all genres of jazz music in the picturesque surrounds of Port Fairy.

Jazz comes alive in the most liveable community each February.

Port Fairy Folk Festival

March 9-12, 2018

A celebration of music, culture and community, the Port Fairy Folk Festival, known as the "Folky" to those that make the annual pilgrimage is an annual celebration the Labour Day Long Weekend in March

Winter Weekends

June - July 2018

A winter celebration of food, wine, music, performance, arts & community

You'll enjoy your Winter Break in Port Fairy. The South West Coast is at its most spectacular. Take in the views from the warmth of your accommodation or cafe, or rug up and head out on a scenic coastal walk. There are plenty of natural attractions including the Southern Right Whales and their calves making these bays their home during the months of June through September.

Port Fairy Community Market

Held on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, the community market has anywhere between 25 and 80 stalls selling crafts, plants, food and local produce, jewellery and many other items.

Please note there is no market on the 4th Saturday in December and during January the market moves to King George Square adjacent to the Fishermen's Wharf in Gipps Street.   There is also a market on New Years Day regardless of the day it falls on.

Port Fairy Farmers Market

The monthly farmers market is held on the 3rd Saturday of the month and highlights produce from local farmers including fruit, vegetables, flowers and honey in season, plants, baking, eggs and much more.
