If you’ve ever wanted to get back to nature and experience the thrill of camping, but the thought of a sleeping bag and pitching your own tent makes you cringe, then you might have just what it takes to be glamper.

To me, camping symbolizes the feeling of inspiration as I undertake new adventures, exploring the beauty of nature, and the quality times spent with friends and family. The warm fuzzy feeling that you receive knowing that you’ve had the best time!! But the heartache you feel when you know it’s time to leave, and head back to reality.

However, having to pack the car to only discover that you’ve left something at home, sleeping on rock hard ground and waking up to a deflated mattress in the middle of the night, or when it times to pack up and your starting to wonder how the staff at BCF really fit that sleeping bag into its case....

Too say the least it really kills the whole camping vibe.

Despite all that, my newly found favourite travelling trend that combines the luxury of a luxe hotel with the beauty of embracing the outdoors, helped me to undertake the ultimate camping trip that I had always desired. No more sleepless nights, or forgetting your tent. Glamping is the answer to all of your, and my problems!

The appeal of glamping for many, including myself, is that there is no outlay of money towards buying camping gear that may only be used once or not at all. There is no fuss involved – just arrive at the campsite, and everything is ready for you; with the comforts of home but in a diverse setting.

I found it really easy to plan and pack for my glamorous getaway, all that was needed was some clothes and food supplies. Everything else had already been sorted by the Port Fairy Glamping Company: Just pick your location, and keep in touch!

I stayed at Gardens Caravan Park in Port Fairy, where the accessibility from east beach and main street was amazing! However, as a mobile glamping business, they can set up their bell tents in the the caravan parks all around Port Fairy and Warrnambool.

These include:

Southcombe Caravan Park

Gardens Caravan Park

Killarney Beach Caravan Park

Koroit-Tower Hill Caravan Park

Yambuk Lake Caravan park

Big 4 Port Fairy Caravan Park

Gum Tree Caravan Park Port Fairy

As well as many others!

The tents provided are 5 metre Bell tents, decked out in boho decorations that really put the glam in glamping. Inside you’ll find a super comfy bed with luscious quality linen! Ornamental fairy lights, that really creates a soft dimmed effect at night, as well as lamps for the extra touch of light if needed. Incredibly soft rugs for when the air gets a little chilly, and cushions that your head just melts into after your big day of exploring. The tents also come with side tables, outdoor table & chairs, and a combination lock to keep your goods secure. Each bell tent can sleep a maximum of five people with a Queen beds or single beds, enabling you to mix and match to meet your needs, which I found really helpful!

Ultimately, whether you're planning a romantic weekend away with your someone special, or a fun-filled getaway with a group of friends, glamping might be just the ticket!
